Ivana has over 20 years of experience in the health and fitness industry. She is a qualified personal trainer, fitness instructor, nutritional coach, healthy lifestyle counsellor, behaviour modification specialist, and clinical exercise prescription instructor.

Additionally, she is a qualified advanced breath instructor in the Oxygen Advantage method (The Buteyko method). She is also a certified Jikiden Reiki practitioner.

Ivana is a co-founder and coach at Fit2Shine, a women’s health, fitness, and well-being community. She is also the founder of the YoungAthlete-Diary coaching program designed for children and teenagers in recreational and pro youth sports.

I can help you with:

1. Functional Breathing & Sleep

  • Improving the quality of sleep by addressing issues like snoring, a busy mind, sleep apnea or insomnia.
  • Establishing functional breathing.
  • Improving the BOLT score (Body Oxygen Level Test).
  • Learning and using breath exercises for health and performance (eliminate mouth breathing, normalize breathing volume, build diaphragm strength and restore the balance of blood gases to release more oxygen into cells, soft tissues, muscles and brain).
  • Reducing breathlessness.
  • Reducing symptoms of asthma, rhinitis, respiratory conditions and long covid.
  • Helping individuals run without triggering exercise-induced asthma (often mistaken for low fitness)
2. Nutrition
  • Providing guidance on healthy, nutritious, and balanced meals.
  • Hydrating right.
  • Ensuring stable glucose levels.
  • Improving gut health.
  • Offering options for sport nutrition or weight management.
3. Exercise
  • Tailoring exercise programs for all fitness levels.
  • Encouraging fresh air and outdoor activities/exercises.
  • Focusing on mobility, balance, posture, strength training, functional movement, resistance training, cardio, plyometric exercises and stretching.
  • Creating programs suitable for individuals post-physiotherapy or an individuals with a particular clinical conditions. (Example: cardiac, pregnancy, cancer, arthritis, diabetes or pulmonary rehabilitation patients)
4. Extra Recovery / better immunity
  • Recommending cold showers for health benefits and stress control.
  • Teaching how to use breath control during cold showers.
  • Suggesting a gradual approach, starting with legs and arms.

“Wedding help”. I started on Monday 3rd January with 14 weeks to the wedding with a meeting to discuss exactly what I wanted and what was achievable. 1st week the weight loss 3 1/2 lb which is unheard of for me, by February I was ½ a stone down but had also lost 25cm (from arms, thighs, tum, waist, hips and bust).

Ivana was fantastic with all sorts of advice.

I run 2 or 3 times a week, gradually building up my distance with the aim of doing the Edinburgh 10km in May. I still attend Fit2shine with Ana and Ivana. I would not have managed to get to my goal and feel fantastic for my daughter’s wedding or be as fit as I am now without Ivana’s help and Ana’s support.

Other benefits I have seen include: I am much more flexible and day-to-day tasks are not so taxing on my body.

You will get 1 hour FREE consultation with a health/fitness assessment at our first meeting.
